RE:    Prestage Farms Youth Livestock Roundup

This year will mark the thirteenth year of this event.  Please note that due to current economic conditions, show premiums have been lowered from what they have been in the past.  It will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at the Sampson County Livestock Facility located just south of Clinton on Hwy. 421. 

NO HEALTH PAPERS WILL BE REQUIRED THIS YEAR. ANIMALS MAY BE EXAMINED BY AN ON SITE VET OR EXTENSION AGENT.  SICK OR CONTAGIOUS ANIMALS WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE AND NOT ALLOWED TO SHOW.

The schedule will be as follows:

 8:00 am - Market Goat Show

10:00 am (or following the Market Goat Show)- Market Lamb Show

12:00 pm (or following the Market Lamb Show)- Beef Heifer Show   

    Showmanship Classes will be held during the respective shows.

Rules and regulations as well as entry forms are enclosed.  This event is designed to be a fun preliminary "kickoff" to the Fall Showing Season.  Come prepared to have a good time!

Spectators and Observers interested in exploring this activity are welcome and need not own an animal.  We encourage you to take the opportunity to talk with exhibitors and ask questions.

A registration and entry form is enclosed and should be returned by Wednesday, August 26, 2009 or register online.
